Sitting check-in

We do check-in upon arrival sitting down on a sofa. Please enjoy the procedure of checking-in with some tea from the well-known tea store, Ippodo. Our staff will guide you to your room after the check-in procedure has been completed. We wish to help you as much as we can to ensure that your trip to Kyoto is enjoyable, so please do not hesitate to ask us if you have any problems or queries regarding sightseeing or history in Kyoto.

A moment to relax and enjoy some tea *For guests staying at Celestine Deluxe Yasaka.

After your arrival to ‘Celestine Deluxe Yasaka’ themed ‘TEA ROOM’, you will be served green tea that uses powder from Ippodo—a Kyoto tea shop that has been around for a long time. Enjoy the unique hospitality of Gion while appreciating the view of Kenninji Temple, which is related to Japanese green tea.

Special tea utensils

Inside each of the guest rooms is luxurious tea from the well-known tea store, Ippodo. This tea can be served in T. Nishikawa & Co. Ltd produced Kiyomizu-yaki pottery tea bowls/cups. Relax and make yourself at home while experiencing some Japanese traditions.

Imabari towels

All rooms have top-quality Imabari towels which are very kind to the skin. These towels are made from cotton and are not only highly absorbent but are also very soft. Please use them using your spa time.

In order to enjoy the large public bath

Please feel free to use the special indoor slippers and bathing basket that are located in the large public bath. Guests can also feel free to use the yukata provided in the guest rooms in order to get to and from the bathing area.The Japanese-patterned purse is useful to put small things inside when going to the bathing area. Guests can also take this item home as a souvenir. We are also currently providing bath towels at the large public bath. (Please remember to bring your face towel / hand towel from your room if you wish to use them.) Opening hours for the large public bath: 3:00 pm ~ 1:00 am, 6:00 am ~ 10:00 am.

Lounge

The guest lounge is exclusively available for all guests to use as they please between the hours of 1:00 pm and 6:00 pm.
Coffee, tea, fruit juice and sweets can all be enjoyed here completely free of charge. Guests can read books and magazines on Kyoto here, as well as experience traditional Japanese culture such as origami. We can also provide guests with writing paper here – why not write down the memories you made in Kyoto?。

At “Yasaka Endo The Celestine Kyoto Gion”, traditional Kyoto Kaiseki cuisine, Kyoto Banzai cuisine (light Kyoto-style home cooking with boiled and marinated food), and Shojin vegetarian cuisine is prepared using top-quality local ingredients, such as Kyo-yasai (specifically certified vegetable varieties grown in Kyoto), and Kyoto beef.
The buffet breakfast is comprised of cuisine such as the Kyoto beef tempura burger, as well as tempura and rolled omelette which is prepared before your very eyes. Cuisine like this cannot be experienced anywhere else! The evening menu is comprised of three kinds of course cuisine.
