Art Rhizome KYOTO 2024
This time, we will exhibit a textile installation in the basement lobby as a venue for Art Rhizome KYOTO 2024 "Reverse Travel Kyoto," organized by Kyoto City and the Art Rhizome KYOTO Executive Committee. Please enjoy the powerful art by artists with ties to Kyoto.
In the open-ceiling main lobby, a space that gives the impression of being enveloped in the silence of the mountains and of the passage of time, up-and-coming dyeing and weaving artist Haruka Kiyohara will be displaying a textile installation with the theme of swaying scenery.

Born in Osaka. Currently living in Shiga. Graduated from Kyoto City University of Arts, Department of Dyeing and Weaving. Works mainly on drawings and fabric pieces with the theme of textile = drawing + playing. After graduating from university in 2017, she began her career as an artist in 2018.

Art Rhizome KYOTO (abbreviated as ARK) is an event that creates opportunities for many people to experience art by exhibiting works by artists with ties to Kyoto in commercial facilities such as accommodation facilities and cafes. It will be held from spring 2023, and this will be the fourth time it has been held, with exhibits and sales at 10 locations in the city.
