Michelin Guide Announces Asia's First "Michelin Key" Hotel Selection!
HOTEL THE CELESTINE KYOTO GION has been awarded "1 Michelin Key".
Michelin Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of Michelin, which has the corporate vision of "making everything sustainable," has announced the listing of Michelin Key facilities, which evaluate unique and attractive accommodation facilities with a three-level key for hotels and inns across Japan. The listing was made available on the Michelin Guide official website and app from Thursday, July 4th.
"Michelin Key" is a new rating added to the Michelin Guide's hotel selection, and since April 2024, the first Michelin Key hotels have been announced in France, the United States, Spain, and Italy. This is the first time that Asia has announced this, and a wide range of 108 unique accommodations in Japan have been selected. The "1 Michelin Key" awarded to HOTEL THE CELESTINE KYOTO GION is an indicator given to accommodations that offer an exceptional stay, even among the Michelin Guide's hotel selection. They are recognized for their unique individuality and charm, and for offering unconventional, one-of-a-kind experiences.
HOTEL THE CELESTINE KYOTO GION is located in a tranquil area where Kenninji Temple stands and where you can get a glimpse of Kyoto life.The hotel offers an experience value that blends into Kyoto culture, including guest rooms designed to transpose Kyoto's history into the modern era, a lounge exclusively for guests where origami and note cards are available, and a breakfast featuring a Kyoto-style menu from Yasaka Endo.
